Patch 1.3.10 has just landed in The First Descendant, and it's making some targeted adjustments that will definitely shake up a few builds. If you've been relying on specific weapons for hyper-mobility, you'll want to check your loadout. The update also reworks a core skill for Harris and makes grinding certain Public Operations a bit more manageable.
Key Build and Balance Changes
The biggest news for meta-watchers is the sprint speed adjustment for three popular weapons: 'Shadow,' 'Deus Ex Manus,' and 'Hypernova.' Their base sprint speed has been dropped from 1040 to 800, though they now get a new +30% sprint speed modifier. This is a clear nerf aimed at reining in builds that offered extreme mobility without much trade-off, forcing players to think a bit more about their movement stats.
Another major change targets the Descendant Harris. His 'Crushing Focus' skill no longer automatically reloads your weapon for you. Instead, firing until your ammo hits zero will now grant you the 'Crushing Focus' status, which provides an instant reload. This shifts the skill from a passive convenience to a more active, rewarding mechanic for players who can manage their ammo down to the last shot.
For those grinding endgame materials, there's good news. Monster HP in 'Supermassive Receptor' Public Operations has been reduced for squads of 2-4 players, which should make those encounters less of a slog. Better yet, Nexon has added Ancestors Modules and Ultimate Weapon crafting materials to the loot pool for these operations, making them a much more efficient farm.
What compensation is being provided?
The developers are issuing compensation for a couple of recent bugs, including an unintended DEF buff on Harris's 'Waste Disposal' skill and incorrect sprint behavior for Hailey. All players will receive a compensation package in their in-game mail that includes:
- Crystallization Catalyst x100
- Gold Acquisition Boost (1hr) x1
- Rank XP Acquisition Boost (1hr) x1
- Mastery XP Acquisition Boost (1hr) x1
This is a solid apology for the recent hiccups. Make sure to claim it from your mailbox before it expires on November 19, 2025.
Overall, Patch 1.3.10 feels like a sensible tuning pass. It's curbing outlier mobility, making a character skill more engaging, and improving the loot grind. It's a series of small but meaningful tweaks that show a focus on long-term game health.
