In a surprising move, Nexon Games has announced the discontinuation of certain event paint items in The First Descendant. Players who purchased these paints will receive full refunds, alongside a generous compensation package for all Descendants.

Paint Discontinuation and Player Compensation

An error led to the unintended availability of Spotify Black and Spotify Green paints for purchase in The First Descendant. Nexon Games is stepping up to address this by halting sales and retrieving purchased items. But don’t worry—your Caliber won’t go to waste, as full refunds will be delivered via in-game mail.

As a heartfelt apology, every player will receive 5 units of each discontinued paint after the retrieval process. It’s a nice gesture to ensure no one misses out on these unique cosmetics due to the mix-up.

What's the Timeline for These Changes?

Purchases of these paint items became unavailable as of July 3, 2025, at 23:10 PDT (6:10 AM UTC on July 4, 2025). While they’ll still show up in the customization list for now, you won’t be able to buy them. The paints will be fully removed from the shop with the upcoming Hotfix 1.2.22c, with the exact timing to be shared in a future patch note.

Nexon Games has promised more details on the retrieval and refund schedule soon, so keep an eye on official channels for updates. For the full breakdown, visit the official game website.
