NetEase Games has announced a significant update for Marvel Rivals, with Version 20250425 set to deploy on April 24, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. The patch introduces a limited-time game mode, new store bundles, hero proficiency system changes, and numerous bug fixes—all without any server downtime.
Giant-Size Brain Blast Mode Arrives for Limited Time
The headline feature of this update is the new "GIANT-SIZE BRAIN BLAST" game mode, which will be available during two specific time windows: April 25-28 and May 2-5, 2025. Players can compete on unique leaderboards and earn special rewards during these limited-time events.
Accompanying this new mode are Brain Blast-themed emotes now available in the store, giving players new ways to express themselves in this special game mode.
New Store Bundles and Emote Improvements
Asgardian fans will be pleased to see new premium bundles for two iconic villains: the Loki - Shin Sagi-Shi Bundle and the Hela - Yami no Karasu Bundle. These themed collections bring fresh cosmetic options to the Marvel Rivals roster.
Additionally, Luna Snow's popular Cyber Tunes emote has been updated to loop continuously rather than playing just once, a quality-of-life improvement requested by many players.
What's Changing with Hero Proficiency?
The hero proficiency system receives a significant overhaul in this update. Missions are now segmented into two categories: Quick Match/Competitive and Conquest/Doom Match.
