NetEase Games has announced the latest patch for Marvel Rivals, set to release on April 17, 2025, at 09:00 UTC. The update introduces the highly anticipated Costume Colors feature, new character bundles, and important bug fixes across all platforms.
Customize Your Heroes with New Costume Colors
The standout feature in this patch is the new Costume Colors system, which unlocks on April 17, 2025, at 2:00 AM PDT (09:00 UTC). This addition allows players to personalize their favorite heroes with custom color combinations, adding a new layer of customization to Marvel Rivals. Once purchased, color options can be freely switched in the Costumes interface.
New Character Bundles Coming to the Store
Two new bundles will hit the in-game store on April 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM PDT (April 18, 02:00 UTC):
- Doctor Strange - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Bundle
- Peni Parker - Yatsukahagi Bundle
What bug fixes are included in the patch?
The update addresses several issues that players have encountered:
General Improvements and Hero-Specific Fixes
NetEase has resolved camera perspective abnormalities after respawning and fixed an error with importing reticle settings. Multiple terrain issues causing character sticking or clipping have also been addressed.
Hero-specific fixes include improvements to Wolverine's Ultimate Ability completion in poor network conditions and better direction control during his Fastball Special. Bruce Banner's transformation model display in terrain kill zones has been fixed, along with corrections to The Thing's ability icon in KO Prompts for terrain kills. Adam Warlock players will no longer accidentally resurrect teammates in out-of-play areas on Spider-Islands.
PC Players Get Razer Integration
PC players receive an exclusive enhancement with added support for Razer Chroma RGB lighting technology and Razer Sensa HD Haptics. This integration provides over 600 distinct effects ranging from character transformations to projectile impacts and spell casting, significantly enhancing immersion.
To enable these Razer features, players can access the experimental feature settings in the Marvel Rivals Launcher. Note that external Razer gear is required to utilize these features.
The patch will be applied seamlessly with no server downtime required. Players can simply log in after the update to continue playing and enjoy the new features.
