Battlestate Games has rolled out Patch 0.16.9.0 for Escape from Tarkov, packed with exciting changes that bridge modes and refine gameplay. From syncing progress with Arena to introducing a new trader, this update is set to shake up your raids.
Arena and PvE Mode Synchronization
One of the standout features in this update is the synchronization between Escape from Tarkov: Arena and PvE mode. Progress transfers one-way from Arena to PvE, covering trader standing, experience, skills, and weapon mastery—though regular tasks remain separate. Tactical clothing and BattlePass rewards unlocked in Arena also apply to PvE, enhancing cross-mode consistency.
Meet Trader Ref in PvE
A new face joins the roster: Trader Ref is now available in PvE mode with unique tasks and trade offers. What’s more, Arena tasks can be completed simultaneously in both PvP and PvE, offering flexibility for players who switch between modes.
What’s New with Item Transfers?
Patch 0.16.9.0 allows currency and loot crates to move from Arena to PvE, but not the other way around. Each mode has distinct transfer limits, so plan your hauls carefully!
Gameplay and Quality of Life Tweaks
AI behavior gets a polish with better detection, looting, and grenade accuracy, alongside Boss fixes. Audio enhancements include VoIP improvements with noise-canceling options. A neat Quality of Life change prioritizes surgical kit use on legs, while Hardcore Wipe balancing adjusts Flea Market access to level 35. For full details, check the official notes via this link.
