Guardians, a fresh patch has landed! Destiny 2 Update 8.2.6.4 rolls out critical fixes and small but impactful changes to enhance your gameplay experience. From activity tweaks to UI polish, let’s break down what’s new in this update.
Major Fixes in Update 8.2.6.4
Bungie has tackled some pesky bugs in this latest patch for Destiny 2. The Rite of the Nine activity in the IX Realm gets much-needed attention, with The Emissary no longer duplicating randomly—finally, no more ghostly doubles! Plus, the lift to the Ghosts of the Deep chest now works without requiring prior Spire of the Watcher completion, making loot access smoother for all.
Gameplay and Progress Updates
Explorer Mode in Ghosts of the Deep sees the removal of Navigator’s catalyst steps since the catalyst is no longer obtainable there. Triumph hunters will be thrilled to know that progress for Seeker of the Nine now counts properly for Spire of the Watcher and Ghosts of the Deep. Additionally, fixes ensure accurate tracking for The Pale Heart Season Challenge after Overthrow completions and for The Whisper in Moments of Triumph 2024, even if you deleted the quest to restart via Ada-1.
What’s New for Customization?
On the visual front, Hunters rocking the Omnioculus Mask ornament with the Mechanopupil ornament and Exotic chest piece will now see the intended special effects shine through. Also, a UI tweak fixes visibility for The Rite of the Nine Astrograph Shader on Appearance pages, so your gear looks as epic as it should.
