Team RICOCHET has intensified their war against cheaters in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, shutting down five more cheat developers during Season 03. This brings the total to over 20 cheat provider shutdowns since the game's launch, with more than 150 cheat resellers disrupted. The anti-cheat team is now banning new cheating accounts within an average of just four matches.
RICOCHET's Season 03 Anti-Cheat Victories
Activision's anti-cheat efforts continue to strengthen with impressive results in Season 03. Beyond the developer shutdowns, RICOCHET's improved Account Linking policy has protected over 10,000 accounts from suspicious linking attempts, further preventing banned cheaters from creating new accounts.
"Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure fair gameplay across Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone," states the RICOCHET team in their Season 03 Anti-Cheat Results report published on May 07, 2025.
New Death Widget UI Provides Enhanced Elimination Details
Season 03 Reloaded introduced expanded Death Widget UI elements in Warzone, with implementation rolling out to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer throughout the season. This update shows players exactly how their position was revealed, whether through Heartbeat Sensors, Body Shields on Teammates, Resurgence Marks, Proximity Alarms, or Most Wanted Target designations.

What's Happening with Hardware Cheating Devices?
In a significant escalation, Activision has begun issuing cease and desist demands to companies manufacturing third-party hardware cheating devices. Several companies have already complied with these legal demands, with RICOCHET continuing to pursue global hardware manufacturers and script creators.
The company has made their stance clear: these devices are not endorsed by Call of Duty, and accounts using them to cheat will face permanent bans.
Machine Learning Powers New Replay Investigation Tool
Perhaps most impressive is RICOCHET's new technology preview of their Replay Investigation Tool (RIT), which uses machine learning to identify suspicious gameplay faster than ever before. The system analyzes gameplay clips specifically for wallhacking behaviors, assigning "suspicious scores" to prioritize human review.
Two demonstration videos show the technology in action, highlighting how the system identifies players tracking enemies through walls and other suspicious behaviors that human reviewers can then evaluate.
Protecting Ranked Play
The anti-cheat team has placed special emphasis on protecting Ranked Play in both multiplayer and battle royale modes. The system now integrates with an SR Refund system that returns Skill Rating points to players affected by confirmed cheaters, maintaining competitive integrity.
"We're committed to ensuring that your Ranked experience remains as fair as possible," notes the RICOCHET team in their SR Refund Update.
With these comprehensive anti-cheat measures, Activision continues to demonstrate their commitment to fair play in one of gaming's most competitive environments.
