The turtles are coming out of the sewers and into Call of Duty as Treyarch has unveiled the mid-season update for Black Ops 6. Season 02 Reloaded, launching on February 27, 2025, introduces a radical Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration alongside new maps, weapons, and substantial balance changes that will shake up the meta.

Cowabunga! TMNT Takes Over Black Ops 6
The centerpiece of Season 02 Reloaded is undoubtedly the TMNT collaboration, which introduces turtle power across both multiplayer and zombies. Players can wield four iconic TMNT melee weapons: Bo Staff, Katanas, Sai, and Nunchaku, with each offering unique combat properties. The base versions of these weapons will be available through the Armory at the start of Season 02 Reloaded.
A dedicated "TMNT Moshpit" playlist will feature Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint modes enhanced with special turtle-themed Scorestreaks. When activated, players gain increased health, regeneration, movement speed, and melee range, along with character-specific abilities randomly assigned at the beginning of each match:
- Splinter: Vanish in smoke and teleport behind enemy lines
- Leonardo: Gain Tracker, Ghost, Vigilance, and Cold-Blooded Perks
- Donatello: See Operators through walls and hack enemy equipment
- Michelangelo: Drops a Pizza Box for double damage buffs
- Raphael: Unlimited Shuriken
Zombies players haven't been left out either, with "Cowabunga Cranked" LTM adding high-octane urgency to undead slaying. Players must chain zombie kills to prevent exploding when the timer hits zero, with special pizza power-ups dropping throughout matches and a unique "Donny's Time Stopper" Field Upgrade to pause the timer.
New Maps Bring Skate Parks and High-Speed Combat
Two entirely new maps are joining the rotation:

Grind Ooze (6v6) - The fan-favorite Black Ops II map returns with a TMNT makeover, featuring skateboarding half pipes, indoor ramps, and ninja turtle decals spread throughout. This map offers versatile engagement opportunities both inside the store and across the outdoor areas.

Bullet (6v6/2v2) - Set on a high-speed bullet train, this unique map challenges players to navigate tight carriages with automatic sliding doors that can reveal enemies at any moment. The map's standout feature allows players to climb atop the train roof for high-risk, high-reward positioning.
New Weapons and Combat Tools
Beyond the ninja-themed melee weapons, Season 02 Reloaded introduces several other combat options:
D1.3 Sector - A deadly sawblade secondary weapon that can be equipped with different magazines for varied projectile types, available as an event reward.
Belt-Fed Attachment - Compatible with all four LMGs, this event reward attachment provides substantial extra ammunition through sustained fire.
Hunter's Instinct Perk - This new Enforcer perk marks the next closest enemy after each elimination, helping players chain kills more efficiently.
Flyswatter Wildcard - Allows players to replace their Dedicated Melee weapon with a Launcher, opening new loadout possibilities.
Weapon Balance Changes Shake Up The Meta
Season 02 Reloaded delivers substantial weapon tuning across multiple categories. Some highlights include:
- Global bullet penetration has been reduced across all surface types
- Fast Mag reload times improved by 10% on most weapon classes

Zombies Gets "The Tomb" Directed Mode
The mid-season update adds a Directed Mode for "The Tomb" map, providing players with extra guidance and round cap limitations when tackling the Main Quest. Numerous stability improvements and bug fixes have also been implemented across all zombie maps.
