Blizzard has released hotfixes for World of Warcraft on February 28, 2025, addressing numerous issues across multiple classes, enhancing Undermine rewards, and making important adjustments to Season of Discovery.

Class Bug Fixes

Several classes received important bug fixes in this latest hotfix. Restoration Druids will be pleased to know that Ancient of Lore (PvP Talent) now correctly prevents magical effects as intended, and Cyclone no longer bypasses Ancient of Lore's crowd control immunity.

Devastation Evokers using Deep Breath with Maneuverability can now properly break root effects when using the Scalecommander specialization, while Preservation Evokers had an issue fixed with Flow State not reducing Engulf cooldown.

Beast Master and Survival Hunters can now cast Master's Call pet ability from the Pet action bar, making this defensive ability more accessible in combat situations.

Windwalker Monks received fixes for Slicing Winds, which now properly functions with Ride the Wind and is correctly treated as an AoE effect. Shadow Priests had a bug fixed where Void Bolt could be cast while channeling other spells, which was likely causing some unintended gameplay interactions.

Enhancement Shamans using the Totemic specialization will now see the correct 6-second duration for the Hot Hand buff from Whirling Elements, and Hot Hand procs no longer reduce duration when Whirling Elements was used for extension. Restoration Shamans had fixes for Overflowing Shores not healing when on transport, and a Totemic Projection bug with Surging Totem causing additional healing.

Warlocks using targeted Rain of Fire will now properly generate Power Overwhelming stacks, fixing an annoying bug that was affecting their damage rotation.

Item Improvements

Several important item changes were implemented in the hotfix. Algari Mana Oil, Oil of Deep Toxins, and Oil of Beledar's Grace now require manual targeting to prevent overriding buffs for dual-wielding players. This change gives players more control over which weapon receives these powerful temporary enhancements.

Auralia Steelstrike once again sells Technique: Contract: Hallowfall Arathi, which had mysteriously disappeared from her inventory.

Two notable trinket adjustments were made: Roaring War-Queen's Citrine had its trigger chance reduced, and Legendary Skipper's Citrine no longer triggers the Roaring War-Queen's Citrine effect, preventing an unintended interaction between these items.

Undermine Gets More Generous

The Undermine zone received several reward improvements that should make activities there more worthwhile. Shipping and Handling task rewards have been enhanced to include Weathered Undermine Crest plus Valorstones, Resonance Crystals, or Gold. Job streak rewards have been increased across the board, and tip chest rewards during the Surge Pricing event are now more generous.

Most notably, the Surge Pricing reward requirement has been reduced to 150 Shipping and Handling Tasks (down from 250), making this achievement much more accessible for players.

Season of Discovery Balance Changes

Season of Discovery received some targeted balance adjustments, particularly for content in Naxxramas. Rogues had a fix for Blade Flurry, which will no longer receive double percentage increases from Seal of the Dawn and set bonuses. Similarly, Warriors had Sweeping Strikes adjusted to no longer receive double percentage increases while inside Naxxramas.

Other Notable Fixes

The Nine-Tenths of the Law achievement now correctly displays that it rewards 5 Trader's Tender. Arcane Mages had a PvP fix for Overpowered Barrier, which was incorrectly granting immunity to interrupts.

Transmogrification enthusiasts will be happy to know that Forged Gladiator's Chain Leggings and Breeches for shamans now display the correct non-kilt appearance.

This hotfix represents Blizzard's ongoing commitment to addressing gameplay issues across all aspects of World of Warcraft, from class balance to quality-of-life improvements in the newest content areas. The Undermine reward improvements, in particular, should make that zone's activities more appealing for players looking to maximize their time investment.
