The most critical part of this update is the fix for the Customization and Makeup menus, which sometimes failed to load correctly. Getting your character's look just right is a huge part of the RPG experience, so having this core feature working reliably again is a major quality-of-life win.
Social Features Paused for Polish
To implement these fixes and work on backend systems, Everstone Studio has temporarily disabled a few features. The custom emotes feature is currently offline while the team optimizes its "review mechanism." This suggests they are working to improve the moderation and performance of player-created content.
Likewise, the signpost voice recording and auto-translation features have also been temporarily disabled for optimization. While you can't leave new voice messages on signposts for now, the patch did resolve an issue that caused them to automatically play recordings in Solo Mode, which should make for a much less intrusive exploration experience.
Why were custom emotes and signpost features disabled?
According to the developers, these features were taken offline to allow for necessary optimization work. For emotes, the focus is on the review system, while the signpost features are undergoing more general improvements. This is a common practice to ensure features are stable and performant before re-enabling them, so expect them to return in a more polished state in a future update.
