Valorant Patch Brings Console Timeline View and Fixes Nine Agents

Game Updates
Share:

Riot Games has released a substantial quality-of-life patch for Valorant on April 15, 2025, focusing on bug fixes across nine agents while introducing the Timeline view feature to console players. The update addresses long-standing issues with agent abilities and UI elements across all platforms.

Console Players Get New Timeline View Feature

Console players can now access the Timeline view in End of Game and Match Details screens, a feature previously only available on PC. This addition allows PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players to review match events round-by-round in Competitive, Swiftplay, and Unrated modes, providing deeper post-match analysis options.

Agent Bug Fixes Take Center Stage

The patch addresses issues with nine different agents, fixing ability interactions and visual glitches that have been affecting gameplay:

  • Reyna's ultimate visual effects will no longer show through nearsights
  • Waylay's Refract ability has been fixed to prevent teleportation issues when collecting ultimate orbs
  • KAY/O's NULL/CMD ability no longer produces persistent revive sound effects
  • Vyse's wall and Shear abilities have been adjusted to prevent players from getting stuck
  • Clove's Ruse battlefield view has been corrected to prevent visibility from underneath elevated locations

Additional fixes address problems with Cypher's Trapwire, Tejo's Armageddon, Omen's Dark Cover, Deadlock's net visual effects, and visual issues with Sova and Chamber.

What's Fixed for PC Players?

PC-specific improvements include fixes to the Competitive UI, with missing hover text from Rank Shield icons now restored in Match History and End of Game screens. The patch also addresses issues with Riot ID displays in the Social Panel and text fitting problems in Premier mode's Standings page dropdowns.

Console-Specific Improvements

Beyond the new Timeline view, console players will benefit from fixes to Omen's Dark Cover targeting sensitivity, leaderboard filter switching, and social panel display problems with long usernames and console logos.

Performance and Cosmetic Fixes

The update also resolves issues with the Bolt melee skin, which previously could glow too brightly and cause performance problems across all platforms. This fix should improve gameplay stability for players who use this cosmetic item.

With VCT Masters Toronto just one month away, this patch demonstrates Riot's commitment to maintaining Valorant's competitive integrity across all platforms. The focus on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements shows the developer's attention to player feedback as the game continues to evolve on PC and consoles.
