Throne and Liberty is receiving a substantial update that introduces several game-changing features. Update 2.12.0 brings the challenging Crypt of Augmentation dungeon, adds earrings as a new equipment slot, revamps combat with positional attacks, and introduces cross-server PvP through Interserver Siege events.
Crypt of Augmentation: Face the Necromancer Velentra
The centerpiece of this update is the new 4-Star Co-Op Dungeon, Crypt of Augmentation. Players will confront Velentra, a former professor of light magic at Venelux who now commands dark powers. With a 5000 Combat Power requirement, this challenging dungeon rewards victorious players with Tier 2 equipment drops to accelerate gear progression. According to the developers, mastering this dungeon will prepare players for the upcoming confrontation with Calanthia.
Earrings Add New Dimension to Character Builds
All characters now have access to a new accessory slot: Earrings. This equipment can be acquired through various content including Tier 2 tokens at the All Things Merchant, Nebula Island, dungeons, and Talandre Arch Bosses. The addition of earrings provides players with more customization options for their character builds and stats.

Combat Overhaul: Position Matters
The combat system in Throne and Liberty has been significantly updated with the introduction of positional attacks. The game now recognizes when attacks come from the front, rear, or flanking directions. Many abilities have been updated to deal increased damage or provide additional effects when striking enemies from advantageous positions, adding a new layer of tactical depth to combat.
What's New in Interserver Siege?
PvP enthusiasts will be excited about the new Interserver Siege feature, which pits castle-owning Alliances from different servers against each other every three weeks. Participating Alliances will have opportunities to both attack and defend, with rewards including temporary titles, cloak cosmetics, chaos runes, and consumables. Victorious alliances will also bring a 48-hour server-wide buff to their home server, granting all players increased Abyss Point efficiency and combat damage bonuses.
Limited-Time Events and Balance Changes
Two new events are being introduced with this update. The Mystic Globe Sollant Event runs from May 29 to June 13, allowing players to gather Lucky Bags around Solisium for additional rewards. The Fortune's Calling Event will run from May 29 to June 11, offering extra rewards like the Golden Archboss Weapon Selection Chest for completing various activities.
The update also includes extensive class balance changes affecting Crossbow, Dagger, Greatsword, Longbow, Spear, Sword, and Wand classes. Notable adjustments include reduced movement speed bonuses for Crossbow skills, decreased healing for Longbow's Healing Touch, and modifications to Spear's Predator ability to counter stacking recovery effects.
Quality of Life Improvements
Numerous UI and quality of life improvements have been implemented, including party matchmaking sorting options, minimap enhancements, and new settings for visual effects transparency. Players can now benefit from both attack and defensive food buffs simultaneously, and new bonus effects have been added for reaching stat values of 80 or more.
War Games Spectator Mode has received significant upgrades, including quick-swap saves for following specific characters, UI improvements to reduce on-screen clutter, and camera rotation sensitivity settings.
Throne and Liberty continues to evolve with this substantial update, offering new challenges and progression paths for both PvE and PvP-focused players.
