NCSOFT has announced the upcoming Update 2.7.0 for Throne and Liberty, which will bring an exciting Loot Goblin Festival event alongside numerous UI improvements and combat adjustments. The update will roll out following server maintenance on April 23, 2025.
Hunt Golden Goblins in the Loot Goblin Festival
The centerpiece of Throne and Liberty's Update 2.7.0 is the Loot Goblin Festival event, running from April 24 through April 30, 2025. According to the developers, Golden Goblins have recently pulled off a successful vault heist, and players who catch them can claim their stolen treasures.
Golden Goblins and the rarer Golden Goblin Chiefs will spawn randomly throughout Solisium, including in the recently added Talandre zones. The game will display system messages when these special enemies appear, alerting players to their presence.
Successful hunters can earn impressive rewards, including titles, playful morphs, Adventure Coin: Loyalty, Runes, Artifacts, Growthstones, and Sollant currency. Lucky players might even score Tier 2 and coveted Nebula item drops from these golden adversaries.
When Will the Update Go Live?
Update 2.7.0 downtime is scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m. PT (5:30 a.m. UTC) on April 23, 2025, with maintenance expected to last approximately 8 hours. However, NCSOFT notes that downtime could end significantly earlier depending on the completion of additional maintenance tasks.
Quality-of-Life Improvements and Bug Fixes
The update includes several UI enhancements, notably repositioning 3-Star Weapon rewards to the top of Expected Rewards lists in co-op Dungeon menus, rather than burying them at the bottom. Similarly, Hall of Illusion accessory rewards have been moved to more prominent positions in their respective lists.
Players will also find fixes for numerous issues, including:
- The return of the missing Roast Honey Apple cooking recipe
- Fixed controller issues with Pins disappearing when switching input methods
- Corrected appearance issues with the Argent Justice Headpiece and Forward General's Cloak
- Added the previously missing Cloak of Frozen Expanse to the Armor Crafter's crafting list
- Various localization fixes for Korean text in the Guild skills menu and number formatting in Brazilian Portuguese
- Performance improvements for the Doomrot Grove 3-Star Dungeon cave
Weapon Skill Adjustments
Combat enthusiasts will appreciate several weapon skill adjustments in this update. Dagger users benefit from an increased cast distance for Cleaving Moonlight (now 4m) and a fix for Shadowy Strike's Specialization. Sword and Shield players will find corrections to Piercing Strike's cooldown reset issue and Annihilation Blade's Power Breach Mastery activation.
The update also clarifies several skill descriptions, including Mother Nature's Protest mana cost, Warrior's Gambit Base Damage increase, and Camouflage Cloak's Stealth removal conditions.
With these improvements and the exciting Loot Goblin Festival, Throne and Liberty continues to enhance the player experience while adding fresh content to the free MMORPG.
