Throne and Liberty is set to receive a massive content update with the arrival of Update 2.1.0 on March 12, 2024. The update introduces Nebula Island, a new interserver PvP activity, alongside the powerful Artifacts system, new dungeons, solo bosses, and a 48-player raid system. Players can expect approximately 7.5 hours of downtime starting at 10:30PM PT on March 12.

Nebula Island: A New PvP Frontier in Throne and Liberty

Level 55 players will soon have access to Nebula Island, a dedicated interserver PvP activity accessible through the Secret Dungeons' Lawless Wilds tab. This new area features a central peaceful village surrounded by six distinct regions, with four being PvP-enabled war zones where players can battle for dominance.

Players will receive 5 hours of access per week, with additional time available through Nebula Charge Stones. The island offers valuable rewards through collectible Lesser and Greater Nebula Stones, which can be exchanged for various items. Regular hourly events and periodic field boss battles will keep the gameplay dynamic and engaging.

Artifacts System: Customize Your Power

Perhaps the most significant addition in Update 2.1.0 is the new Artifacts system, an exclusive accessory system that provides unique skills and statistical bonuses. The system consists of six parts: four Talistones, one Solarstone, and one Lunarstone, with 14 different sets across three grades (2 Common, 4 Uncommon, 8 Rare).

Players who collect matching pieces will receive powerful set bonuses at 2, 4, or 6 matching artifacts. The Solarstone provides Active Skills, while the Lunarstone grants Passive Skills, allowing for deep customization of character abilities. These powerful items can be obtained from Nebula Island and Abyss Dungeons.

Face Fearsome New Solo Dungeon Bosses

Two new challenging solo dungeon bosses are being introduced in Update 2.1.0. Umbrakan is a grotesque forest creature combining beast ferocity, human intelligence, and tree vitality. Lionhead (Demian) is a half-demon, half-human warrior trained by Arkeum, notorious for excessive slaughter. Both bosses promise unique rewards for players brave enough to face them alone.

What New Dungeons Are Coming to Throne and Liberty?

Two new 3-Star Dungeons will challenge parties in Throne and Liberty. Doomrot Grove was created by Norn Bercant, who was kidnapped and mutated by the sinister Crimson family. The Twisted Laboratory contains dangerous bioweapons from the Crimson family's experiments, providing a dark and challenging environment for adventurers.

Vanguards: Massive 48-Player Raid System

Large-scale combat gets a significant upgrade with the new Vanguards multi-party system, supporting raids of up to 8 parties and 48 players. This system can be accessed through the Party Management window, with the Vanguard Leader able to adjust party composition and set join conditions.

While powerful, Vanguards do come with some content restrictions—they cannot join party-based instances or field bosses. This system is designed primarily for large-scale world PvP and specialized raid content, giving guilds and large player groups more organizational tools.

Combat Improvements and Quality of Life Upgrades

Update 2.1.0 brings several significant improvements to Throne and Liberty's combat systems. Nameplate targeting has been enhanced with new customization options in Settings > Gameplay > Character > Large Scale Combat Mode, allowing players to adjust transparency, target colors, and size for better visibility during chaotic battles.

Field bosses have received a 30% health reduction across all of Talandre, and their preparation time has been reduced from 5 minutes to just 1 minute, making these encounters more accessible and less time-consuming. Additional combat fixes address healing reduction stacking issues and auto-move targeting for multiple weapon abilities.

Additional Fixes and Improvements

  • Battle Pass fixes for mission completion and item duration
  • Dimensional Trial Season 1 rewards distribution
  • UI improvements for party windows, field bosses, and ring menu
  • Localization fixes for voiceover and subtitle mismatches
  • Hall of Illusion bug fixes

The update represents a significant expansion of endgame content for Throne and Liberty, with a focus on PvP activities, character customization through the Artifacts system, and quality of life improvements. Players should prepare for the 7.5-hour maintenance period beginning March 12, 2024, at 10:30PM PT (5:30AM UTC on March 13) to experience all these new features.
