Throne and Liberty
NCSOFT and Amazon Games have announced the first major expansion for Throne and Liberty, titled 'Wilds of Talandre,' which will launch as a free update on March 6, 2023. This ambitious expansion introduces a wealth of new content including a new zone, increased level cap, revamped progression systems, and challenging endgame activities.

Explore the New Zone: Talandre
The centerpiece of this expansion is Talandre, a sprawling new region that continues the game's main storyline while offering diverse environments to explore. Players will discover new field dungeons, face formidable field bosses, and participate in unique regional events that will be introduced through frequent milestones after launch.

The picturesque Herba Village will serve as one of the main hubs in this new region, offering a base for adventurers to embark on their journeys throughout Talandre.

Level Cap Increase and Progression Updates
The Wilds of Talandre expansion raises the level cap from 50 to 55, giving players new progression goals. Additionally, lifestyle content levels will increase to 25, allowing for more advanced gathering, fishing, and crafting opportunities.
One of the most significant changes coming with the expansion is a complete revamp of the Weapon Mastery system. This new personalization layer allows players to select specific nodes to alter or empower their skills, creating more diverse and customized builds. Players can experiment with different weapons to unlock special abilities, adding a new dimension to combat. Current weapon mastery progress will be converted to experience points in the new system.
New Endgame Challenges
Solo Dungeons
For players looking to transition into more difficult content, the new Solo Dungeons will provide a perfect stepping stone. These individual experiences will test players against various foes, obstacles, and unique mechanics, with appropriate rewards for those who succeed.
3-Star Dungeons
High-level players seeking a serious challenge can take on the new 3-Star Dungeons once they reach level 55 and achieve a minimum combat power of 3,500. These demanding instances offer Epic II Gear Sets, Training Dew, Amitoi, Abyssal Contract Token Points, and valuable crafting materials as rewards.

Nebula Island and Artifact System
While the main expansion launches on March 6, 2023, two major features will arrive a week later on March 13, 2023, following server maintenance:
Nebula Island
This new interserver activity will be available to level 55 players through the Secret Dungeons' Lawless Wilds tab. Players will have a weekly time limit of 5 hours (with additional time available through Nebula Charge Stones) to explore this unique area.

Nebula Island features a central peaceful village surrounded by four war zones with always-enabled PvP. Various hunting grounds can be accessed through portals, and players can collect Lesser and Greater Nebula Stones to exchange for valuable items. Hourly events and periodic field boss battles will provide additional excitement and rewards, though participation in boss battles will be limited by capacity.
New Artifact System
The Artifact System introduces unique skills that can fundamentally redefine your playstyle. These new items can be obtained from Nebula Island and Abyss Dungeons in Talandre.
The system consists of six parts: four Talistones, one Solarstone, and one Lunarstone. There are 14 different Artifact sets across three grades (2 Common, 4 Uncommon, 8 Rare), with some stats being randomly determined upon acquisition. Set bonuses are triggered by equipping 2, 4, or 6 matching pieces, with Solarstones providing Active Skills and Lunarstones granting Passive Skills.
Lifestyle Content Expansion
The Wilds of Talandre also brings a wealth of new lifestyle content for gatherers, fishers, and crafters:
- 24 new fish species to catch
- 4 new fishing rods to craft and utilize
- Various new collectibles to discover
- 10 new cooking recipes to master
- New forage items to gather
- 5 types of Elixir items can now be cooked
- Amitoi can now go on Talandre Expeditions for new rewards
Server Consolidation and Update 1.15.2
Prior to the expansion's release, Update 1.15.2 will bring server consolidation, with maintenance beginning on February 26, 2023 at 9:00AM PT (5:00PM UTC). This update will require approximately 10 hours of downtime.
To compensate players for this downtime and build excitement for the expansion, double Field Boss spawns will be active on all servers from the end of maintenance until March 6, 2023. Additionally, 2 Arch Bosses will now spawn during schedule windows permanently.
