Patch 2.02 is about to change how you fight in Supervive. Dropping on November 26, the update introduces Domination, a brand new 6v6 prototype mode, and makes both the Tournament and Arena queues ranked by default. Get ready for a major meta shakeup driven by a wave of new items and widespread balance changes.
Capture and Hold in Domination
The headline feature is Domination, a prototype mode that pits two teams of six against each other in a battle for control. The goal is simple: capture and hold objective points to accumulate score, with the first team to 150 points claiming victory. This mode offers a more structured, objective-focused alternative to the chaotic brawls of the main game, providing a fresh proving ground for team compositions and custom builds.
How does the new ranked system work?
Theorycraft Games is doubling down on competitive play. With Patch 2.02, both Tournament and Arena modes will be ranked by default. This means every match has stakes, with a specific RP (Rank Points) ante required to enter. It's a clear signal that the developers want to foster a more competitive environment in these focused game modes, moving them from casual playlists to the core ranked experience.
New Kicks, Grips, and a Meta Reset
Theorycrafters, this is your patch. The update delivers an extensive item rework, introducing new categories of "Kicks" and "Grips" gear that will force everyone to rethink their loadouts. Alongside these new additions, numerous existing items have been rebalanced specifically for the BR mode. Expect established builds to be challenged as players experiment with new gear combinations to find the next OP synergy.
Hunter Tuning and Map Tweaks
A patch wouldn't be complete without hunter adjustments. Jin, Felix, Zeph, Oath, Saros, Carbine, and Joule are all on the list for balance changes, which could shift their viability in the new meta. On the map side of things, Battle Royale players will notice that islands in certain areas are now larger, potentially changing engagement dynamics. The developers are also testing a new "donut" style drop distribution system, which should alter how teams spread out and loot in the early game.
