Get ready for an elevated experience in Minecraft! Mojang Studios has just rolled out the exciting Chase the Skies drop alongside a jaw-dropping graphics upgrade called Vibrant Visuals, bringing fresh ways to explore and a visual feast for players across multiple platforms.
Soar High with Chase the Skies
Available now for both Bedrock and Java Editions of Minecraft, the Chase the Skies drop lets you raise a ghastling—a quirky flying mount—to glide above the clouds with friends. This update also introduces new mechanics like sky-high building, leashing camel caravans for group travel, a fresh music disc to set the mood, and a handy Player Locator bar to track down your buddies in vast worlds.
Stunning Graphics with Vibrant Visuals
For Bedrock Edition players, Vibrant Visuals is here to transform your game into a visual masterpiece. Supported on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC (with specific hardware like DX12), this graphics mode—accessible via the Video menu—amps up the eye candy. Be warned, though: older devices might chug a bit, and splitscreen multiplayer reverts to simpler rendering. Marketplace Add-Ons, Skins, and Personas play nice with this mode, but Worlds and Texture Packs aren’t supported yet.
What’s New in Minecraft Exploration?
Beyond the skies, a new travel guide offers tips on biomes to visit, unique accommodations, local cuisine ratings, and packing essentials for your Chase the Skies adventures. Whether you’re crafting saddles or exploring the Nether for souvenirs, there’s plenty to discover.
