Ultizero Games just dropped Patch 1.101 for Lost Soul Aside, and if you favor heavy weaponry, your combat flow is about to improve significantly. While this update addresses several technical stability issues on PC and PS5, the highlight is a direct buff to the Greatsword's fluidity.
Refining the Greatsword Flow
In a game where Kazer isn't trying to save the world but merely survive it, keeping your momentum against the unknown monsters is critical. The Greatsword packs a punch, but its recovery frames can sometimes leave you open. This patch addresses that by adding new special attack combo transitions specifically for this weapon.
You can now chain into new moves immediately following a Spinning Thrust or a Sword Glide. For players who rely on the Greatsword to stagger larger enemies, this is a major quality-of-life change. It allows for better gap-closing and keeps the pressure on without that awkward pause resetting your stance usually demands. It makes the heavy playstyle feel much closer to the agility provided by Arena's other forms.
What technical issues were fixed in Patch 1.101?
Beyond the combat tweaks, the developers have patched a few nasty bugs that were hindering progression. The most critical fix is for PC players: an issue where save files would fail to load after claiming certain in-game gifts has been resolved. Losing access to your progress in a 30+ hour RPG is a nightmare scenario, so it is good to see this prioritized.
Other fixes include:
- Surge of Voidrax: Fixed a specific bug where the controller would stop responding on the reward screen if it disconnected and reconnected.
- Fourtides Coliseum: A collision issue in Chapter 4 was patched. You should no longer fall through the ground in specific spots of the arena.
While the war ended ten years ago, the fight for stability continues. These changes are live now on both PlayStation 5 and PC.
