Cyber City's Revolutionary Hack Mechanic Transforms TFT
The next evolution of League of Legends' auto-battler mode is bringing a cyberpunk revolution to the Convergence. Cyber City introduces a brand new "Hack" mechanic that dynamically alters core game systems in beneficial ways for all players, creating unique gameplay experiences each match.
Players can expect to encounter between 2-5 Hacks per game, affecting systems like Augments, the Shop, and Items. While these Hacks apply equally to all players in terms of power level, they may manifest slightly differently for each player, adding strategic depth and adaptation challenges.
Double Up Mode Gets Major Overhaul
The popular 2v2v2v2 mode has received substantial changes, making it more accessible and strategic. Players can now join and create lobbies with up to seven other players, and partners share a Tactician Health pool with a one-time elimination prevention mechanic that drops you to 1 HP.
The Rune of Allegiance has been replaced with the new Teamwork Cannon, which allows for more flexible trading of both items and units. Items can be exchanged for others of similar strength with no cooldown, while units can be sent with cooldowns based on their star level (4 rounds for 1-star, 6 rounds for 2/3/4-star units).
Portals: A New Cosmetic Type Enters the Convergence
Cyber City introduces Portals as an entirely new cosmetic type that can be equipped and favorited like other cosmetics. At launch, players can obtain two Legendary Portals: PROJECT: Chain Vortex and Janna's Fantastic Forecast, while the Enter the Cyberspace Portal will be available through the Pass+.
Additional cosmetics include PROJECT: Vayne Unbound, Chibi Forecast Janna, Chibi Janna, and the PROJECT: Edgefall Arena. Most of these items will be available in Treasure Realms until Patch 14.3, while Chibi Janna can be purchased in the Chibi Janna Pass+ Bundle for 2785 RP.

What's New with Class Emblems in Cyber City?

System Changes and PvE Updates
PvE rounds have been completely revamped, with the previous monsters replaced by Mechas to match the set's cyberpunk theme. Opening Encounters have also been updated with Cyber City characters and new "Hacked" encounters that provide special effects with varying chances of appearing.
The Team Planner has received useful upgrades, including Team Codes that can be pasted into the planner during gameplay, and an Undo Button to revert any changes just made.
Opening Encounters: Chance to Get Hacked
The new Opening Encounters system includes a variety of character-based encounters as well as special "Hacked" encounters that can dramatically alter your game. Here are some of the most impactful possibilities:
Opening Encounter | Chance | Effect |
---|---|---|
Annie | 10.0% | Annie changes all Augments to Gold tier this game |
Zac | 5.0% | Zac's virus turns all the Augments Prismatic |
HACKED Augment | 2.5% | There will be an extra Augment round in stage 2! |
HACKED Aurelion Sol | 7.0% | The Stage 4 NPC round is replaced with a rerollable Treasure Armory! |
HACKED Mecha Minion | 2.0% | Two-star units can appear in your shop! |
Ranked Season Reset and Augment Rebalancing
A new ranked season begins with the Cyber City launch, with starting ranks between Iron II and Silver IV based on previous performance. Players will have 5 provisional matches with no LP loss for bottom 4 placements, and Hyper rating has been reset to 500.
Most Augments have been nerfed due to the potential for having four Augments in a game through hacked encounters. Several Augments have been removed entirely, while others from previous sets are making a comeback. Silver, Gold, and Prismatic tier Augments have all received balance adjustments.
