LTA North Adopts Fearless Draft Format for Split 2
The League of Legends Tournament Americas (LTA) North conference has announced significant format changes for Split 2, which begins on April 5, 2025. The updated structure will showcase the Fearless draft system, which is being implemented across all LTA competitions for the remainder of the 2025 season to improve champion diversity.
According to the official announcement, the Split 2 competition will be divided into four distinct phases:
- Weeks 1-3: Positioning Phase – Single round-robin Best-of-1 matches
- Weeks 4-6: Group Stage – Teams divided into two groups of four competing in Best-of-3 series
- Week 7: Cross-Group Battles for playoff seeding and elimination matches
- Fearless Playoffs – Top six teams advance to a Best-of-5 bracket
Conference winners will earn coveted spots at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) to be held in Vancouver later this year, where they'll face off against the best teams from other regional leagues.
