TFT's Into the Arcane Set Concludes with Double Anomaly Feature
The final patch for Teamfight Tactics' Into the Arcane set has arrived, and Riot Games is making sure it goes out with a bang. Patch 13.8, released on March 18, 2025, introduces several exciting changes designed to make your final games in this set more memorable and dynamic.
The most significant addition is a second Anomaly round that appears at stage 5-5 in both Standard and Double Up modes. This gives players another opportunity to power up their champions, though it's worth noting that champions can only have one Anomaly at a time. Interestingly, the Infectious Anomaly has been disabled for this final update.
Powder's Champion Augment has made its return after being temporarily removed, now renamed to "This Will Work." The augment received substantial buffs, with increased Blast Radius and Ability Damage values across the board.
Traits and Champions Receive Significant Buffs
Form Swapper enthusiasts will be delighted to discover the trait now has a (3) bonus that grants either 22% Damage Reduction or a 33% Damage Amplification. This addition opens up new strategic possibilities for the final patch.
Several other traits received substantial buffs as well:
- Automata Base Damage: 150/400/1200 → 150/450/1337
- Black Rose Sion AD Per Star Level: 12% → 15%
- Conqueror Base AD/AP: 22/25/45% → 22/33/45%
- Emissary Nami Bonus Mana: 2 → 3
- Experiment HP: 100/300/300 → 100/450/450
- Firelight Healing Percent: 20/33/40% → 25/40/45%
Champion adjustments are equally impressive, with Sett now sporting the Pit Fighter trait in addition to his existing traits. Irelia's damage reflect has been dramatically increased from 30% to 75%, and Jinx received a mana cost reduction from 0/60 to 0/50.
What's Changing with Anomalies in Patch 13.8?
Beyond adding a second Anomaly round, Riot has buffed 12 different Anomalies to ensure they make a significant impact on gameplay. Some of the most notable changes include:
- Arcana Overwhelming MR to AP converted: 30% → 50%
- Avalanche of Armor Bonus Armor: 70 → 99
- Heavy Hitter Cooldown: 2.5 sec → 1.5 sec
- Laser Eyes AP Damage: 133% → 175%
- Touch of Frost Stun Duration: 1.5 → 2.5 sec
Encounter Frequencies Adjusted for Memorable Final Games
To ensure players have exciting experiences during their final games in the set, Riot has adjusted the frequency of various encounters. The Wind-up Monkey encounter has been increased from 8% to 12% and now always grants all three positive outcomes with no player damage.
Encounter | Previous % | New % | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Wind-up Monkey | 8% | 12% | Always grants all 3 positive outcomes, no player damage |
Scuttle Puddle | 7.5% | 10% | |
Triple Prismatic | 5% | 6% | |
Wandering Trainer | 4% | 5% | |

Additionally, Six Cost champion odds have been increased by 1% starting at stage 6-1 (9-1 in Hyper Roll), giving players more opportunities to find these powerful units in the late game.
