Mythic Shop Gets Comprehensive Overhaul With Timed Rotations
The League of Legends Mythic Shop is receiving a significant update in Patch 25.06 on March 19, 2025, aimed at addressing player pain points and adding quality-of-life improvements. The revamped shop will feature new timers for each content category, showing exactly how long items will remain available before rotating out.
Riot's primary goal with these changes is to provide multiple opportunities throughout the year for players to obtain past content they may have missed. The new system implements different rotation schedules based on content type:
- Featured: Updates when new content is released or for specially highlighted items
- Bi-weekly (Every two weeks): Mythic Skins including Past Prestige Skins, Seasonal Mythic Skins, and Hextech Skins
- Weekly: Chromas from past events
- Daily: Accessories including Emotes, Wards, and Icons
With this random selection system, each patch rotation will showcase up to 56 different accessories, 16 different chromas, and 12 different mythic skins. The main reset time for the shop will be 00:00:00 UTC on Thursday (4 PM PST Wednesday), with rotations operating independently from regular game patches.
Decoupled Bundles Offer More Purchasing Flexibility
One of the most requested changes coming to the Mythic Shop is the decoupling of chroma and icon bundles. Previously, players had to purchase these as a package for 40 Mythic Essence (ME). With the update, players can choose to buy just the chroma for 35 ME or just the icon for 5 ME.
According to Riot, icons will eventually be added to the Accessories pool in the daily rotation, giving players even more opportunities to pick up these cosmetics individually.
Prestige Battle Academia Qiyana will remain in the Featured category until Prestige Aphelios arrives later in summer 2025. New featured content will be announced in patch notes and dev updates as they become available.
What's Coming for Your Shop in 2025?
Riot has also revealed plans for Your Shop events throughout 2025. Players can look forward to five Your Shop events this year, with one being a special "Legendary" Your Shop that will presumably include discounts on Legendary-tier skins.
The next Your Shop begins with Patch 25.06 on March 19, 2025, and will run until Patch 25.08. Riot notes that Your Shop events may not perfectly align with patch releases, so players should pay attention to the timer in the client for exact end dates.
Blue Essence Emporium Returns Twice in 2025
For players sitting on mountains of Blue Essence, Riot has confirmed two Blue Essence Emporium events for 2025. The first will run from Patch 25.07 through Patch 25.08.
A new "Emporium Enjoyer" title will be available for purchase during these events at a cost of 250,000 Blue Essence, giving dedicated players a way to show off their commitment and Blue Essence wealth.
Riot mentioned they're considering player suggestions for future Blue Essence items and evaluating newer cosmetics for potential Blue Essence versions. This indicates the company is looking to expand the offerings in future Emporium events beyond the current selection.
These changes collectively represent Riot's ongoing efforts to improve the player experience around cosmetic content acquisition in League of Legends, giving players more options and clearer information about when desired items will be available.
