Rockstar Games has officially outlined the end-of-year roadmap for Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer component. The announcement confirms a major December content drop titled "A Safehouse in the Hills," which introduces a new real estate agency, alongside the immediate release of a chaotic new Transform Race for current-gen platforms.
A Safehouse in the Hills: December Update
For years, the high-level meta in GTA Online has revolved around accumulating wealth with very few places to actually display it. That changes next month. The December update, officially named "A Safehouse in the Hills," introduces Prix Luxury Real Estate to the Los Santos market.
While specific pricing hasn't been unveiled, the branding suggests this is the endgame content wealthy players have been hoarding cash for. In a city described in lore as "struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty," the arrival of ultra-luxury housing leans heavily into the game's satirical roots. It offers a stark contrast to the street-level hustle of Franklin or the chaotic trailer-park life of Trevor, giving crimelords a legitimate way to flaunt their illicit gains.
Now Live: F2F T.R.A.I.N. Transform Race
While we wait for the real estate market to open, Rockstar has deployed immediate content for the Community Race Series. The standout addition is F2F T.R.A.I.N., a Transform Race that is exactly as chaotic as the acronym suggests.
How does the new Transform Race work?
This isn't a standard lap around the Legion Square. F2F T.R.A.I.N. forces players to manage vehicle shapeshifting mechanics while actively dodging a speeding freight train. It requires quick reflexes and map knowledge, as the dynamic element of the train adds a layer of RNG (random number generation) that can ruin a perfect line in seconds.
This specific race and the upcoming real estate features are targeted at the enhanced versions of the game. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Enhanced platforms can access the new Community Series content immediately.
With the December update on the horizon, now is the time to liquidate any unused assets and prepare your bank account. If Prix Luxury Real Estate is anything like previous property updates, the best views in Los Santos won't come cheap.
