After the recent launch of new Creation Club content, Bethesda has laid out a plan to tackle stability issues in Fallout 4 with a series of incoming fixes. An urgent hotfix is scheduled for early next week, followed by two larger patches aimed at improving the game and dramatically expanding mod storage on Xbox Series X/S.
The immediate priority is a hotfix targeting the crashes and instability some players have experienced, particularly on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This update will also address failures with Creations that rely on official DLC, which was a frustrating snag for anyone trying to integrate new content into their existing game.
Future Patches and a Massive Storage Boost
Following the hotfix, Bethesda has two major patches in the pipeline. The first is expected around November 24, 2025, with a second planned for the first half of December. While stability is a key focus, the most significant change is coming for Xbox Series X/S players in the November update.
The local storage limit for Creations on Xbox Series X/S is being substantially increased to 100GB. This is a game-changer for console players who love to mod their experience, removing the old constraints that forced you to constantly juggle which mods to keep active. Building a heavily customized Commonwealth just got a whole lot easier.
Bethesda also confirmed that some performance improvements have already been rolled out, specifically targeting the load times for the Creations menu and the redemption process for Creation Club items.
How much storage will Fallout 4 Creations have on Xbox?
With the upcoming patch in late November 2025, the local storage limit for Creations (mods) on Xbox Series X/S will be increased to 100GB. This gives players significantly more space to download and run mods without hitting a ceiling.
These planned updates show a commitment to smoothing out the post-launch experience of the new content. A more stable Fallout 4 with triple-digit gigabytes for mods on console is a huge win for the community.
