Funcom has deployed Hotfix 1.2.20.2 for Dune: Awakening, addressing two specific frustrations that have plagued survivalists since the last update. If you've been scratching your head over missing crafting materials or empty mining runs in the Deep Desert, this patch is specifically targeting those resource gaps.
Fabrication Materials Restored
The most critical fix addresses a bug where canceling items in your fabrication queue made the refunded materials invisible. In a survival RPG where effective resource management is the difference between life and death, having your hard-earned materials vanish into the void is a nightmare. While the items technically weren't deleted, they were inaccessible.
This hotfix ensures those refunded materials properly reappear in your inventory immediately after canceling a queue. You no longer have to worry about losing resources just because you changed your mind on a build order.
Titanium Returns to the Shield Wall
Resource scarcity is a core mechanic of Arrakis, but a bug was making it a bit too scarce in specific zones. Players had reported a distinct lack of Titanium Ore spawning in the Shield Wall area of the Deep Desert. This has been corrected, so your mining runs into high-danger zones should actually yield the high-tier ore you're risking your life for. If you've been avoiding the Shield Wall due to poor yields, it's time to head back out.
How do I ensure I have the fix?
This is a client-side download. If you don't see the update automatically queued, you may need to restart Steam to force the download to appear. Once updated to version 1.2.20.2, your inventory visibility and local resource spawns should normalize immediately.
