Funcom has outlined the roadmap for the remainder of 2025, revealing a December update that targets some of the most persistent friction points in the Exiled Lands. If you have spent hours running back and forth between chests to build a simple sandstone base, this patch changes the workflow entirely.
The developers of Conan Exiles are focusing heavily on Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to close out the year, specifically targeting the building and crafting loops that dominate the mid-to-late game.
Building Just Got Less Tedious
For the builders out there, the upcoming changes are substantial. Historically, inventory management has been the true enemy of any great architect in the Exiled Lands. The December update introduces a feature allowing followers to carry resources specifically for use with the construction hammer. This effectively turns your thrall into a functional pack mule during construction, drastically increasing the amount of materials you can have on hand before needing a resupply run.
Additionally, crafting stations are receiving a logic update. They will now automatically pull necessary resources directly from your inventory. This removes the extra step of manually dragging stacks of stone or wood into a station's inventory just to queue up a few items. It’s a small change that saves thousands of clicks over a playthrough.
Sorcery Rebalanced
The dark arts are also seeing a shift in the meta. Funcom is rebalancing Sorcery to make it more accessible, particularly in the early stages of corruption. The headline change here is the removal of reagent costs for Tier 1 spells. This allows players to experiment with basic sorcery without burning through valuable resources immediately.
The update also tweaks the Tome of Kurak and introduces new summoning rituals, likely encouraging more players to dabble in corruption earlier in their progression rather than saving it for the endgame.
When are the next Conan Exiles in-game events?
Alongside the mechanical updates, the schedule for upcoming events has been locked in, bridging the gap between late 2025 and early 2026. Here is when you can expect the content drops:
- Head Hunting Event: November 25, 2025 – December 9, 2025
- Dark Dregs Event: December 18, 2025 – January 6, 2026
The return of the Head Hunting event next week is a solid opportunity to farm skulls for rewards, while the Dark Dregs event will carry the community through the holiday season into the new year.
