Released in 1986, this arcade platformer challenges players to rescue Princess Toadstool from Bowser in the Mushroom Kingdom.
You'll run, jump, and defeat enemies through various levels, controlling Mario, or Luigi in two-player mode.
What makes this game different?
It features increased difficulty with fewer warp zones and power-ups, plus more enemies. Six unique levels debuted here, later appearing in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
