It requires the base game and adds four new X-Men characters: Phoenix, Gambit, Iceman, and Cable. The expansion also introduces Danger Room Mode, offering new Gauntlet missions and challenges. Gameplay remains a fast-paced hack and slash/beat 'em up experience where you control a team of Marvel heroes against enemies and bosses, now enhanced with new character abilities and team-up potential.
