Age of Mythology is a real-time strategy game released in 2002. Players manage resources to build settlements, train units, and advance through four ages: Archaic, Classical, Heroic, and Mythic. Each age unlocks new technologies and units. The game features three distinct civilizations—Greek, Egyptian, and Norse—each with unique major and minor gods that grant special units, technologies, and powerful, single-use god powers. The campaign follows Arkantos, an Atlantean admiral, on a quest involving mythological elements.
