If your Rhythia map library is a chaotic mess, relief is on the way. The developers have shared a sneak peek at a new 'collection' system designed to bring some much-needed organization to your song list, moving far beyond the limits of a single 'Favorites' tab.
This upcoming quality-of-life feature will allow players to right-click any map and assign it to a custom-named collection. For anyone with a massive library, this is a huge deal. You'll finally be able to create dedicated playlists for warm-ups, practice sessions for specific patterns, or just group your favorite mappers together. It’s a seemingly small change that shows a deep understanding of how dedicated players engage with rhythm games.
Polishing the Core and Building Community
Beyond map organization, the team shed light on longer-term goals. A significant code rework is underway to enable multi-platform compilation. While details are sparse, this could pave the way for Rhythia to run in a browser, which would drastically lower the barrier to entry for new players curious about the 3x3 grid gameplay.
Finally, a central hub for the community is imminent. The team confirmed they are close to launching an official Discord server and are actively recruiting full-time community moderators. This signals a serious commitment to fostering a healthy and organized space for players to share scores, discuss maps, and connect with each other and the developers.
How will the new map collections work?
Based on the preview, creating and managing collections appears straightforward. Players will be able to right-click a map in their library, choose to add it to a collection, and either select an existing one or create a new one on the fly. These collections will then appear as collapsible categories in the song list, making navigation a lot cleaner and faster.
