Cloth and Leather wearers, your prayers have been answered. The upcoming November 13 patch for Fellowship is delivering a major survivability boost by increasing the base armor values on lighter gear, fundamentally changing how squishier classes will approach fights. This update, dropping after weekly maintenance, also rebalances a half-dozen heroes and officially ends the Haunting of Stronghold event.
A New Age for Light Armor
For a while now, players have debated the survivability gap between plate wearers and their Cloth/Leather counterparts. This patch directly addresses that feedback. The notes promise a 'significant' increase to base physical damage reduction on Cloth and Leather armor. This is a game-changer for mages, healers, and rangers who often felt like one wrong step meant a trip back to the start of the dungeon.
What do the armor changes mean for my build?
This buff opens up more aggressive playstyles for characters who were previously forced into a kiting-heavy, long-range meta. You might be able to survive an extra hit or two from a boss, giving you more room for error and potentially allowing for different stat allocations away from pure survivability. It makes these classes less punishing to play, especially in endlessly scaling dungeons where a single mistake can be fatal.
Hero Meta Shake-Up
The patch doesn't stop at gear. Six heroes are getting a balance pass, with notable changes targeting Meiko, Ardeos, and Tariq, alongside smaller tweaks for Rime, Sylvie, and Vigour. This is a clear move to shake up the established meta. By adjusting the power levels of these core heroes, Chief Rebel is encouraging players to experiment with new team compositions and strategies for dungeon runs.
Dungeon Pacing and a Fond Farewell
If your dungeon runs have felt a little too tight or too loose, you'll want to pay attention. Several dungeons are receiving timer adjustments, which will affect everything from casual clears to competitive speedruns. Additionally, specific boss mechanics in Cithrel’s Fall and Empyrean Sands are being tuned, likely to smooth out difficulty spikes. With this patch, we also say goodbye to the pumpkins and ghouls, as the 'Haunting of Stronghold' Halloween event has officially concluded. Time to swap out that spooky decor until next year.
